@ben This is a side project that initially formed during high school, and kicked off in 2010. Over 12 years in the making, I am so excited right now!
Ordered a new copy of Star Commander, estimated arrival looks like it might be a Christmas present to myself. Looking forward to unboxing my own card game!
@PDXBOTC sci fi novel based in the world of Star Commander, a family on board a freighter gets pulled into a political situation between the major governments.
And there we go, rounded out the scene to 10,026!
Almost made it! Got to 9,979 words, and should have some more time before I go to sleep. Back on track!
@kyleshevlin @sia I’ve got a secondary account on twit.social, I just don’t want to migrate and they seem to be having trouble too. Guessing it’s a general growing pain right now, but I also am liking the slower pace.
@kyleshevlin agreed mostly, but I wish I could load and upload images faster, keep not seeing them in posts and I keep getting timeouts when I try to upload my own.
I think the best part of being on Mastodon so far is not having to see hot takes about Tailwind any more.
Dear iPhone auto complete: I do not know Toni, I have never written that name, and do not see a reason to start. Please stop replacing “tonight” as I move my finger to press it. Thank you!
Still behind, but I got to 8449 words this morning. Will try to fit in some more writing later today. Action is about to set in, so that should help.
@kyleshevlin I've been thinking about this. On Twitter so many of my followers were there because of tech, that it was hard to start conversations about anything else. Maybe now's the time to lean into my other hobbies/interests.
I'm at 7578 words today, but I'm too exhausted to keep going. Gonna have to make it up over the next day or two, I think.
@briannawu 👋 I’m a software engineer and podcaster, I talk about web development, the card game I’m designing, and things my 7yo says.
Currently at 6728 words for NaNoWriMo! Feeling really good about how my story is taking shape. It's been really fun getting back into writing again, feels like forever since I wrote fiction like this.
@LibreNyaa do they stay on the original account so I can see them after? Or do I just need to make a list ahead of time?
@haayman @jmes oh that's awesome, didn't realize it had reached a stable state yet. Last I saw they were still in an early alpha, glad to see the progress.
I've mostly been pointing people at Quasar if they wanted a material component library since Vue 3 dropped, they supported it pretty early https://quasar.dev/
I think the big thing holding me up on Mastodon at this point is the server load being so high. Wondering if it’s too late to use another server, or if it would even make a difference since I’m interacting with folks on here.
