@goldiechan Definitely a real person here! And looks like we're already following each other. Hello!

@fimion @sia hadn't heard of this one before! Sounds interesting.

Discovered that I can access Github Copilot for free for my open source contributions and reinstalled it. Gonna be interesting to see how it feels to use again after taking some time off from it.

Reached 16,711 words today. Jumped to a different character's perspective for a bit to see what they're up to, and learned some things about a different character in the process.

@gwmccull @kyleshevlin with my example, I had just kicked off a 3 or 4 sprint epic. I had spent weeks planning and coordinating it between teams, and convincing them why it was essential for certain features to be included.

By the time it kicked off… I just couldn’t focus on it. I found I could do none of the tasks I had written, not because it wasn’t urgent, but because the other thing was stuck in my head and I had to get it out.

I think my favorite thing about coming to Mastodon has been getting to reconnect with people that the Twitter algorithm stopped showing me.

@kyleshevlin 100%! I have gone on the record with my team that I love bugfixing because it can engage me sometimes when other work just doesn't.

@kyleshevlin Note: I'm not diagnosed with anything, just notice my brain seems to be similar to ADHD/neurodivergent folks sometimes.

I can have good days at work, and I can really dig into what I'm doing. But I have _so many_ interests that sometimes work is just so boring and hard to get started. I was kicking off an epic, and day 1 I was so disinterested in it I worked on a completely different feature.

Thank you for sharing your experience, wish there was an answer

@anildash I really hope kino was able to get out, I really liked that character.

@eric great to see you again!

Ending today at 15,044 words. Gonna need to think about what happens next a bit to keep my momentum.

@PDXBOTC 100%, it's a small thing but it is so nice.

Hi, I'm Lindsay! I'm a software engineer and mom. Online I typically am talking about something related to web development (I do functional programming at work with Elm and Haskell) and whatever project I'm working on.

Most recently, I've been digging more into game design. I've been working on my own card game called "Star Commander" for some years, and it's recently reached a very presentable state. Also into Magic, D&D, and other games.

Also do a lot of writing. Hello!

Got to 13,512 words! May have sped up the plot a bit too much, hopefully I can bring it back to the right speed tomorrow. Need to pace things to make the goal.

@ben Feeling a bit stressed out for Oregon too, here's hoping for the best for both of us 🤞

@robinheghan sci fi about a family getting caught up in political intrigue between major interstellar governments.

Up to 11,700! Time to rest.

Got to 11,232 words, I think I'll wrap up today's goal before bed.
